Not so Hungry

How are your littles eating habits? Is it normal for them to decline with the interest in food. He used to be a decent eater but now he is mostly eating any kind of noodle, fries, bagels and breakfast food. I do try to offer other things but it hasnt been successful. Do your littles still in a-high chair or independent sitting? (own table/chair) Do you eat together every meal? (as in you are eating as well so they can mimic)

Its definitely normal for toddlers to get a bit picky, just keep offering well balanced meals and foods that they will eat. My daughter used to smash a waffle, 2 eggs, and some fruit for breakfast every day, now she will do a half a waffle, MAYBE 1 egg, and then want to pick off my plate (which is the same as hers lol) We still do a high chair for meals, but snacks are done independently, so she can walk around with it or sit at a table and chair! We do eat every meal together. Which usually means I end up not getting my whole meal cause what I have is always better than what she has, even though its the same 😂 So I utelize snacks to my advantage to keep from being hangry lol

@Stephanie lol seriously i’ve started to really prioritize eating with my little and my plate always seems better than his lol. i think i may transition back to the high chair for meal time because currently i think with independent sitting he is getting a bit distracted. thanks so much for your input 💗💗

We have a booster seat at the table for my 18mo he eats best when we share food idk if u tried that

@Shelby really good idea! is there a certain one you recommend

We use the basic Ikea high chair. Small and lightweight. My little recently had days she didn't want to eat and then I realized she's cutting her molars. As they've popped out she's been eating better.

I just now have my son's highchair pulled up to the table to see if he will eat better as he has decided he doesn't want to eat much these days either. I may try to share a plate with him instead and see if he eats better that way.
