Don't think about it lol it's nerve wracking for sure. What I tell myself is that women have been doing this for thousands of years!
I make myself get off of Reddit and Instagram and take the dogs for a walk or hit the gym! I’m getting to the point where there is such a thing as “too much information”… when I get anxiety, it’s because I need to stop marinating in all the instagram reels about pregnancy and labor and go outside 🙂
Crocheting a baby blanket & watching tv shows or movies helped distract me when I was waiting for labor with my son. You can even start journaling for your new little one, leaving little letters or your thoughts to the little one for them to grow up and look back on when they’re older. Something they will forever have from you.❣️
Currently reading Onyx Storm. Def helps keep my mind chill and distracted.
@Carolyn hey, I'm reading that too!
@Kyla I’m about 70% through and def will finish it in the next day or two 😭 I reread the first two when I started maternity leave. How far are you?
@Carolyn I did the same thing. I kept falling asleep while reading it in the hospital, so I haven't gotten too far 😑 now I have a newborn and a toddler. It'll be a while...😭
I crochet... its very meditative and helps to draw my mind away from worrying
