Snacks

Now my almost 1 year old is getting more hungry I’m struggling with snacks that he will eat apart from the shop bought ones (melts, wafers etc) - really wanting some more nutritious homemade snacks but he’s quite fussy, I made savoury muffins and flapjacks and he turned his nose up. He also hates whole fruit. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks!

Yogurt, applesauce, avacado, quesadillas or sandwiches, oat bars or balls.

Following!

Cheese twists with puff pastry goes down well in my house, can be frozen too so no wastage

• Oat bars • Yoghurt • Hummus and veg sticks • Lentil/chickpea crisps • Eggs • Toast strips with Avocado/peanut butter/Nut butter/pesto/cream cheese • Cottage cheese or cheese sticks • Banana/Apple slices and peanut butter • Fruit kebabs (different fruit on a skewer) • Falafel bites • Pitta pizzas • Blueberry baked oats • Mini muffins • Oatcake with marmite • Crackers and toppings • Sardines • Potato wedges • Sweet potato bites • Veggie fingers • Olives/Pickles • Cereal • Toasted malt loaf/fruit bread • Energy balls • Chicken and apple balls • Pancakes • Homemade tuna spread • Snack plates - mini selection of any of the above

I just made a banana and cinnamon flapjack for my LO for the first time and she absolutely loves it :) she's 10 months 😊

I can make a homemade granola bar so easily. I also keep a lot of fruit in the house a lot with chopped veggies. Little man loves him some bell pepper sticks

Hummus/ babybels/ wraps with soft cheese (and I grate carrot and cucumber in it) Boiled egg/ pancakes/ yogurts/ flapjacks/ malt loaf

Cottage cheese, peas, and blueberries were my kid's favorites at that age.

Pot of peas and sweetcorn works for us

You all look like you put way more effort in than me 😂 Here is my “low maintenance” list: Pots/tins of fruit (mango, peach, tangerine, pineapple) Sesame breadsticks (with cream cheese or houmous) Precooked chicken or other meat Raisins Dried mango or apricots (chopped) Grapes Yoghurts Seeded toast Bananas Hard boiled eggs Baby cucumber Spring onion (one of her favs, weirdly) (Just to highlight, this is just my quick snacks)

Snacks can literally be scraps from the meal before or just a tiny meal

Im a chef so i make 95% of his food and still struggle to find snacks to feed my 14month old but these are low maintainence all easy to make at home and can mostly all be made and frozen ahead of time! Blueberry balls Flapjack Babybell cheese Crudities with houmous Boiled eggs/(eggs and soldiers) Fruit loaf Cheese twists Yoghurt Pinwheels Sausage roll Arrincini Mini spanish omelette cups Jelly pots Baked rice pudding Peanut butter energy balls Carrot, courgette & raisin muffins Baked Fruit parcels Pittas with banana and peanut butter(any nut butters work!) Falafel Breadsticks Carrs cheese melt crackers Ritz with cream cheese or ricotta Cereal- cherios, shreddies ect Crisps(wotsits, quavers, pom bears- obviously in moderation if babe can eat these) Any kind of fruit if they feel like eating them- my bab eats almost 1 punnet of blueberries daily 😳 Corn on the cob works a treat 😂 Raisins Crumpet Mini Pancakes Savoury waffle (sweet potato & carrot is awesome) Sardines on toast Rice cakes
