Curious what y’all are doing since having a baby

Please comment what you do for work! I am at a loss on whether to return to my old job, stay home or try to find something new. Would love to hear where you mamas are at and how you like what you do!

I do development and it’s fully remote I like my team I like that the work is pretty flexible time wise as we all work across the nation

@Asha what does development entail? Is it something you went to school for or on the job training?

No i went to school for something else it’s basically a fundraising role I do fundraising They trained me and they had a transferable skill set

Sahm : I’m apart of mom groups several local ones. I’ve been doing a lot of local book clubs lately and events. I’m a member of a major organization and I attend events but don’t really volunteer my time at this time because my children are very young. I run some of our errands , the ones that I don’t mind running . I hike daily usually and do boot camp classes . Monthly spa days for myself . Meet up with friends / family. Yesterday I was at a mom’s night out . I try new restaurants on my own at times and I’m wanting to try new parks. I’m apart of a hiking group that meets monthly and I’m looking at getting into one that does weekly hikes. I take my son to classes and activities at places like indoor playgrounds, discovery cube, soccer, sanctuaries etc. I cook and clean but have help so it’s not excessive . I’m planing to work on passion projects sometime within the next 2 years or so depending on how I feel with my lil ones right now they’re very dependent and so I’m holding off

I stayed home for 9 months when my first was born. Then went back to work as a nanny bringing him with me. With my second I took about 6 months off then again went back to work bringing them both with me. Two years later Covid hit & I became a stay at homeschooling mama. It's been almost 5 years & now I have 3 kids.

I haven’t had my baby yet but am planning on/ really hoping to be a SAHM. We are starting our business soon that we can do from home so fingers crossed it goes well! This is my first and I don’t want to leave baby with anyone other than my fiancé/ babies dad.

I only work 1-2 short days a week, I have a small business making jewellery & sewing things like makeup bags, book sleeves, etc. I do markets now and then x

Full time remote. So I consider myself part time SAHM 💖

I work in an office two days per week. Personally I think part time work is the perfect balance.

I’m a graphic designer, fully remote, flexible hours. A company I worked for previously knew I had a baby, then got in touch with me when I was on maternity to offer me the role. I work full time but in my own schedule. I just need to meet deadlines.

Full time but work from home - customer facing role at a cybersecurity company (I used to be a teacher!)
