When to let son open any presents he gets from party
My son’s birthday party with nursery friends is on a Sunday, but his actual birthday is not til Tuesday 2 days later. A couple of the mums have mentioned about getting him a present so I’m just wondering what other mums would do about giving the presents to their child if they was in this scenario.

My daughter’s party is on Saturday and her birthday is on the Tuesday. Any gifts from her friends will be opened that day and any from family be opened on her actual birthday x
Thanks ladies. Yeah I think that’s what my mindset was in that I don’t want too many presents to be opened at the same time as will be less focus on them and more overwhelming So my thoughts would be to open Friends on the Sunday and then ours and family’s on the Tuesday as well be seeing family on his actual birthday I guess can just see how it goes! X

I would make a judgement call on the day. See how many there are... maybe let him open a couple on Sunday and then save the rest for Tues. I have friend who spread Xmas present opening over 3 days so it doesn't get too overwhelming and the took more notice of what they got... I feel like they have made a good point there. Ultimately there is no wrong answer anyhow, your son will have a fab birthday either way xxx
