I’m due mine on Saturday and wil be 24 weeks
It is done between 24-28 weeks :)
I’ve just had my 24 week midwife app today and she has booked me in for week 28 to have the diabetes test done. Think how early or late they do it is based on what they perceive your risk to be, or based on results of previous blood tests etc x
Mines on friday and I'm 24 weeks today x
Just had mine today and I’m 26 weeks, I got my letter about a month or so before appointment. I was told not to eat or drink from 10pm the night before, could only drink water and my appointment was at 8.45. My bloods were taken, your given a sugary drink and you then have to wait 2 hours in the hospital then take another lot of bloods you can then leave and I was told I would get a call back in the next week x
Mine is booked for 25 weeks. It was booked at 12 weeks by my midwife. You could always contact your midwife to check x
I’ve got mine soon. Can they not send you home for the 2 hours to wait instead of hospital? Mines being done in my local walk in centre.
@LisaI was told today they don’t send you home as you could do things to burn off the sugar and they won’t get an accurate measurement. So they need you to just sit there and do nothing 🥲
When I was 19 weeks I saw consultant she said I needed to book it in with my midwife so I messaged her to book it in and she sorted it out straight away also i just had it today at 24 weeks but mine BMI was showing really high so wanted me in quick x
So my understanding is they can test you at any time - i had my test booked for this week originally, when I am 25 weeks, but they bought it forward urgently due to high glucose levels in my urine. I've seen people be diagnosed from as little as 8 or 10 weeks. I got the letter around a month before I was due to be tested but then when I was told it needed to be done sooner they booked me in for the following Monday, which was only about 3 or 4 days after I was told x
