Valentine’s date ideas

It’s been a while since my husband and I have celebrated something like Valentine’s Day. Where we live now there’s not a lot of options for going out. I am having a hard time coming up with anything we could do and would love some ideas. Maybe an at home movie night? I just don’t want to end up sitting on the couch with a movie on in the background but looking at our phones

Maybe at home painting with a twist? Make a nice dinner (or order) drink and paint something together? Or game night (we love those murder mystery boxes at target)

Do like a movie night but with a twist like maybe have some twinkle lights or candles around to make it more a romantic setting also u could level up the food/snack options to make it upscale well as far as upscale u can get for home lol or do like a at home paint night have some nice music in the back ground and just reconnect. Pintrest has good ideas and Tiktok probably does to look up "romantic date night at home ideas" or something along those lines and that should keep yall off your phones lol

YouTube dance class sounds fun!! You could try one of those interactive movies (I think Netflix has some?) where it'll pause and you get to choose what the character does next and it'll change the outcome of what happens

Created with love makes super cute date boxes! https://cratedwithlove.com Like for $5 off https://i.refs.cc/B2Vk5oKc?smile_ref=eyJzbWlsZV9zb3VyY2UiOiJzbWlsZV91aSIsInNtaWxlX21lZGl1bSI6IiIsInNtaWxlX2NhbXBhaWduIjoicmVmZXJyYWxfcHJvZ3JhbSIsInNtaWxlX2N1c3RvbWVyX2lkIjoxMDI4OTcwMDAzfQ%3D%3D

@Mia I bought 1 on sale and we loved it. It's cheesey and cute and fun, plus a Spotify playlist and suggestions for dinner or extra activities.

Sip and paints are always fun and cute. I’ve seen a few different trends one where you paint each other and show each other at the end (usually hilarious) or there’s another one where you both have a canvas and paint something, then switch every 3-5 mins and add to each others art work. Both cute and interactive. I also personally love comedy show dates! But if there’s not somewhere you can go you could find something to watch at home.

Dance class YouTube tutorial is so fun

Have a look around your area and see what’s there. Any nice bars or restaurants you haven’t tried yet. I’d rather go out. Karaoke is something I do w my gfs not Hubby 🙈 Sip and paint? Mini golf? Bowling? Mines already booked for an underground moody Jap restaurant as he knows I love Jap food. He did a “mystery picnic” for our anniversary which we had to solve clues to get all our picnic ingredients and at the end we had our picnic and went home, but that lasted 5hrs 😂🙈

You can take him for a salsa or bachata dance class together? That’s super fun. I go by myself weekly though he has no intentions to learn how to dance lol but if you man doesn’t mind, go for it!! Usually beginners/first class here is free. There’s a club here that has free lessons every Friday because they get revenue through drinks so don’t charge for the lessons.

Do like a sip n paint at home! Get some paint, canvases, wine (or fave drink), and find an easy tutorial on YouTube to follow.

@Kellie I think that sounds so fun! There’s nothing like that quite near us though.

@Elizabeth I’ll send you 3 places in CA that I know of, but I dunno if they’re “near you”. Expect a DM Xx

I always tried to do something other than a dinner, like bowling, mini golf, arcade, laser tag, aquarium… Maybe movie night after but make it different - pillows and blankets on the floor and lots of snacks so there’s no looking at your phones.

@Kelsea I like this idea! Even pillows and blankets and snacks on the floor with our son and a kids movie as a family activity too with a no phone rule. Not for Valentine’s Day per se but just in general

I am VERY Pregnant so even tho I live in Vegas going out sounds absolutely not appealing to me at all!! So I told my husband that we could get food and have a picnic at the park. And while I’m in a pregnant food coma he can take our little one to play.

Not sure if you're in the Uk, but M&S do a valentines meal deal with steaks and other fancy meals, for fairly cheap. So you can have a 3 course meal and a bottle of something. Then have a movie night with snacks OR maybe even some card or board games. We did that last year and had a blast!

We bought these date scratch cards and we got clay making our first date so lmao I guess we’re doing that and I’m taking him to big bear because it’s his birthday weekend lol
