At what point should I stop travelling/start slowing down?

I’m currently 7 months pregnant with my first baby and really struggling with not being able to plan the exact time, date and location that I’ll go into labour 🙈 We normally lead a pretty busy life, often needing to travel 90 mins from home for family, work and volunteering commitments. At what point should I be slowing down and making sure I’m as close to home as possible? Maybe I’m being naive in thinking I will still want to be out and about in the weeks leading up to my due date but I feel like staying at home just waiting for baby to show up is going to drive me mad! I want to do the sensible thing but as I’m a first time mum I’m really not sure what the sensible thing is!

In my opinion your body will tell you when to slow down. I work 90mins away from home and kept tracking in until around 2 weeks before my due date. Then a did a couple of long car journeys picking up my mum. Ironically the day I decided to stop and have a film day.. I went into labour! I do regret not having a bit more down time before baby came if I’m honest. I’m preggo with number 2 now and will make sure I have more time to relax a bit before.

You will know when you need to slow down. Don’t worry too much! Just go with what you feel! Its your body and your baby :)

I'm currently 31 weeks+ 2 days, and starting to feel I need to slow down. I go on maternity 21st February, having 4 weeks ish off before I'm due x

Thank you ladies. I am due on 20th April and finish work 28th March but other commitments will continue after that. I guess my worry is being 90 mins from home and my waters break, but also don’t want to put life on hold if I don’t need to 🙈

I stopped working at 35 weeks because my job is very physical and I couldn’t actually do 90% of my job..baby was born 2 weeks later so I’m glad I stopped when I did 🙈

I would say keep your bag packed in the car when you start getting closer then if your waters break you can at least go to a hospital with what you need or get back to your local one and not have to stop at home first x
