Sertraline

Is anyone taking sertraline? How has it affected you and have you found it’s been helpful? I’ve been prescribed by the perinatal team for my extreme anxiety and although I’ve taken it before that was years ago. Keen to hear from others who are currently taking it

I took it through out my pregnancy and forgot to keep taking it before Christmas so been off about a month. I was on a low dosage as all meds work a little too well with me 😅🤣 I found it helpful to manage the unwanted emotions even if I struggled to do the basics like get dressed I was still able to enjoy time with my little girl. I was discharged from perinatal in October after being in their care for about 10 months. Any questions please feel free to message me or if you just want to rant let me know 😊

I just started taking it last Friday! Starting with 25mg other than dry mouth I do have insomnia brought on by it. I am awake at night and very alert and “on” and it continues throughout the day! So it does suck to be awake even when baby is sleeping overnight but hoping it resolves in a few weeks

@Tracie are you taking it morning or evening? GP told me evening and i couldnt sleep either so perinatal team told me morning is better x

@Rachael interesting! My GP told me to take it in the morning so I take it like 8/9 am! But yet still have insomnia lol

I have been on 50mg 10days now take and in the morning otherwise I cant sleep. Had horrible headaches since but otherwise they seem to be working a bit
