Picky Toddler

My son is 14 months and has been picky with food textures and flavors. He didn't like applesauce or anything that was the consistency of baby food. He doesn't typically care for ice cream or popsicles either. I keep introducing stuff over and over again to him and he's finally liking applesauce or fruit and veggie pouches. But I've run into a wall of him not liking whole milk, what are other alternatives or other ways to give him milk? Plus I've run out of ideas on meals to give him with him being so picky. Does anyone have any ideas of meals I can do and maybe ideas on how to introduce more things? I've come to a cross roads.

If you want to introduce more dairy, you can do greek yoghurt with some blended fruit mixed in for sweetness or cheese is always a hit with my 19 month old. My 19 month old eats what we eat for dinner plus I add some dairy on side and fruit. But otherwise the main meal is the same as us. Sometimes if I let him take it off my plate he is more inclined to eat it haha and for lunches I give him what I'm eating, like toast with hommus or avo and some fruit and dairy.

@Alex mine doesn't like avocado or hommus he's picky when it comes to yogurt due to the texture. But will eat the heck out of cheese lol. He typically eats what we eat as well. But it's all a texture issue I have with him when it comes to smooth or chunky things.

@Cheyenne are you introducing it multiple times? Sometimes, it takes my son like 6-7 intros before he puts it in his mouth. I follow this rule with feeding. I give my son what we are eating and on his plate, I'll always include a "safe food," something I know for sure he will eat. I try not pressure him to eat, I almost ignore him at the table. I don't say "yummy eat your food" or "try this" I just put the plate down and we all start eating. I found that helps as well😊 for example my mum tried to feed him yesterday and was like oh he isn't eating, she was sitting facing him, trying to give him food with the spoon or just handing it to him and he was refusing it all. I went over sat next to him and just started eating my dinner and then he started eating his dinner 🤷‍♀️ (also sometimes if he really won't even try a food I just pick food off his plate and start eat it but I don't say anything to him and he watches me then tries it)

Oh, also for the milk. If you have one of those little hand-held frothing machines (can get them on amazon for cheap), my son LOVES a baby chino. Like just slightly warm supper frothy milk.
