Hello! I relate! FIFO partner here too. It does get easier. My bubba is 12 weeks, good at night too. I relate to the effort to get them to sleep and short naps can be frustrating, and super normal for that age. I use huckleberry app to track naps and that has given me the tools to be more confident in knowing the awake windows and bed times etc. Just wanted to send you positive energy and for you to know that you’re not alone and it will get easier!! I have a 4 year old too and the wake windows get longer and naps get longer too, which makes getting out and about much easier. Please also reach out to CAFS is you’re feeling like you can’t shake the sadness, they can help a lot <3
Hi there, First of all, this all happens and you will feel overwhelmed as the baby sets their schedules and your harmones are trying to settle as well. Tips that worked for me - give more exposure to day light to your baby as it helps with their serotonin level and sleep - make sure your baby is not too warm or cold while taking nap - use white noise for day time sleeps - check with your doctor and may be your LO is getting reflux so keeping the sleep position slightly elevated may help ( this can be a maybe as your LO sleeps okay at night) And above all hang in there, it’s tough and I hear you. Whatever time you get try to breathe out and relax. DM me if you need anything. I have a 2 year old and I been through the many sleep issues.
Hey lovely, feel free to message me too. Happy to chat, vent and give any advice that may help. My husband works fifo, he did 2 weeks on 1 week off when we had our first (whos now 3 years old). Since then we’ve had twins who are now 19 months and he does 2 and 2. The 2 weeks hes away is hard and exhausting but routine is key. Xx
