It’s typically when the test line is as dark as or darker than the control line so I’d say you will be ovulating really soon
@Katie @Katie can you ovulate without having a period? And if I wasn’t able to ovulate would the test line be clear or extremely light will there just not be a test there?
I think if you wasn’t ovulating your tests would be negative. That picture looks like it’s getting darker. If you’re unsure about whether you are ovulating or not, I would request a day 21 progesterone blood test if you’re in the UK
When I was having irregular cycles mine were like yours quite often, even when I don’t think I was ovulating. It can happen with some conditions like PCOS as LH can be naturally high. I was never able to track it as the LH strips were really all over the place. So the test line not being really light doesn’t necessarily mean you are ovulating just that your LH is higher. It can be possible to ovulate without having a period for some people. Have you tried any other methods of tracking ovulation like bbt and researching into cervical mucus?
Same boat here idek how to tell using ovulation trackers, hope to learn off your comments lol
Yes you can ovulate and not have a period
This is not a positive ovulation test. The test line needs to be as dark or darker than the control line. Also, if you are ovulating, you should be getting a period. Ovulation causes and increase in progresterone and progesterone means your uterine lining builds up. But if you don't get pregnant, then your LH starts to drop about 2 weeks later, causing a period. Having a sub-positive LH test like this does not necessarily mean you are or are not ovulating. This is simply not enough information. Talk to your doctor and get some lab tests done to check your hormone levels. Or, as others have said, you can look into charting your cervical mucus or basal body temp. The book, Taking Charge of Your Fertility is very helpful for learning to understand your body.
