What do you think would be a fair way to split Tax credit?

I do the taxes for myself and my (soon to be Ex-) husband. I am claimed as a dependant because I'm disabled. Because of the disability tax credit, he gets quite a bit extra refunded. Though the statements never tell us how much is from what. Since the disability tax credit is meant for supporting me, we tend to split it. What could be fair?

(may be worth noting that before hand, he would maybe get a couple hundred returned. Since I started doing his taxes and giving him the Disability Tax Credit, he now gets $3,000+ for returns. While I typically dont get any, since I am claimed as his dependent, it goes to him. We both pay roughly the same amount in monthly expenses although I am a SAHM and he earns possibly twice as much as I do

Is it possible to go through all the steps filing on TurboTax (but not submit) without the disability Then go through all the steps including the disability TurboTax tells you the expected refund before submitting and is usually pretty accurate I would take the difference of the two, and then depending how much he actually supports you come up with a fair amount, but this way you know much is because of the disability credit

@Mariam Last time I tried to check, it didn't tell me how much is it was from the DTC! It just gave the over all total which was fairly accurate. The the notice of assessment from the CRA doesn't show what's from what either.

H&RBlock gives you the details. Well when I file on there it gives you the details before you submit.
