The first and last draw look okay to me but it's that middle number that seems kinda high. I just did my 3 hour yesterday and waiting for results. The only time I had GD was 10 years ago and it was diet control but I can't remember my scores
You will most likely start with a diet control. Mine is 45g carbs per main meal and 15g for snacks. And testing blood 4x a day. If your sugars are still too high then you will move to metformin or insulin plus the diet. It’s not fun I won’t lie but it’s just for a few months and your body and baby will thank you
Don’t stress. Stress only makes your blood sugar higher. Your doctor will tell you what the plan is but in the meantime I would start looking at your diet and see where you can improve. Cut back on added sugars, sugary drinks, high carb meals etc, and eat protein with all meals and snacks to help balance your blood sugar.
@Sarah this is super helpful to know! Thank you so much 🙏
@Megan thank you so much! 🥹
Don't think about it as you failed! It's amazing that they caught it, because it's important that now you will get the resources to best support your baby's growth 💕 I'm sure your doctors will reach out soon with next steps
@Allison looks like you probably passed with the greens!
@Zselyke such a good perspective to have! You are so right ❤️
I just got the results from my 1h test and I failed with 177. I'm so worried about the 3h one and failing it as well, being so high. What did you do differently to pass? Is there anything we can actually do??? 😭
@TK considering i failed both 😩 i would defer this question to @Allison on this thread who passed her 3 hour one!
What was the cutoff? And what was your score?
