Orzo 🍝 Not as a finger food tho
Star pasta is supposed to be very good for them to have as its nice and small - not blended. I think Penne it says to cut it open so it's a flat square to be a finger food
Same as @Ebony! We've tried penne a few times and she gets choked up, so we just avoid that ☺️
Any type of pasta as long as it's cooked properly is fine and not a choking hazard. My baby has whatever pasta we have which is usually penne, she's had spaghetti, orzo and lasagna too.
I tend to give my little one fussili as ita easier for him to hold we do baby led weaning and generally he is a good eater. When he has pasta we all have fussili so it's easier to everyone.
We have fussili and he’s never had a problem with it. Will also have tortellinis and and bites them in half first
All pasta can be served as is and are safe x
Thanks everyone 🙂
We've used all kinds of pasta, don't waste your money on baby pasta (no offense!)
@Rachel I use all kinds of pasta as well but this stuff is easy for swallowing and might help anxious parents for weaning as the little star pasta melts in the mouth
Big shell shaped pasta was our starting point but now my son has any shape but he still finds macaroni hard to pick up and rigatoni the easier of the smaller shapes.
I use star pasta or I will give fusseli but I blits if because mine doesn't quiet understand yet what a full mouth is and she has a habbit of shoving way more then what her mouth can take and my mind can't take the chocking sounds.
We found that penne tends to slide down her throat and makes her choak. We use macaroni pasta, fussili or spirals anything with a bit more texture to it so it doesn't just slide down their throat
