Annual leave after notice handed in

So I was due to finish my maternity on the 16th march and start 2 weeks of A/L then return on the 31st march. However I'm not returning so I sent my notice email on the 30th of Jan I stupidly didn't say I wanted to keep things as they was as I've occured annual leave and can't afford to miss out on 2 weeks of SMP 😥 I handed it in early not thinking to put an end date as I assumed it would just end when my A/L did! Is there anything I can do now as they replied saying my end date of work is the 6th march and nothing about the A/L I've accrued.

You should be paid out your annual leave with your last pay, i would email them asking. But also if you want to change the end date there should be no issues, i would just email them back confirming you mean to leave it as it is and would like your last working day to be the 28th march. Also ask how much annual leave you would have accrued by the end date
