@Tara oh my goodness I'm so sorry that happened to you and you had to go through that but I'm so glad to hear he's doing well, what a journey!
@Daisy thank you. Hopefully your little one will get to go home sooner then later. And most likely you will be high risk for another baby buy that just means you will be watched more closely. I was high risk but on the low side till I got closer to end. I was induced at 37 and then I was admitted agaib 2.5 days after leaving hospital for blood pressure
This happened to me in my first pregnancy, we were even cautious. Y second, and it did nto happen again. It was scary but we made it through.
It happened to me. In that pregnancy, I was having twins until I lost one at 10 weeks. We believe all of the issues came from the subchorionic hematoma I had. She came into the world healthy and had no issues at all. My next baby had passed meconium, and he did go to the NICU for a bit. I'm pregnant now and once again have a subchorionic hematoma, and I'm worried it might happen again.
@Daisy I had a placenta rupture at 40. I'm now 41. Had my last child late. My placenta ruptured and I thought it was my water that broke but it wasn', I was bleeding out. And my awesome midwife rushed me into the doctors emergency O.R I had a emergency C Section. than I blocked out from blood loss. When I woke up my Baby father was staring at me holding out child and I had a blood transfusion as well. I'm just glad I survived.
I didn't have a rupture, but the placenta died between 36 and 37 weeks. I was induced at 37 weeks. The first two trimesters were completely fine health-wise and then the placenta started to die. Around 32 weeks, I was having multiple scans each week to monitor everything. I ended up also needing an emergency c-section because my baby had the umbilical cord around her neck and her heart rate dropped and wouldn't come back up. Definitely pretty traumatic and I'm in the same boat of wanting more kids in the future, but not knowing if I can do it due to the fear.
I'm late to this but this happened to us last month. Our baby was due 12th April. on the 7th March we went out for pizza. I felt a gush of something and I honestly thought it was my waters breaking until I stood up and there was blood all over the bench. We rushed straight to hospital and they took us straight for emergency c section. It was terrifying and like you, we spent 2 weeks in nicu with our baby on breathing support and feeding tubes, and came home with her still using feeding tube for a couple of weeks. I want to do a debrief with the hospital but they seemed to think sudden increase in BP migjt have caused mine (and I've had pre eclampsia post the birth). I also have been thinking about how scared I would be having another one. I don't think I could ever relax during the pregnancy and it's been so difficult these first few weeks too
I didn't have the rupture but I did have my first baby at 27+5 and he was in NICU for almost 4 months and I feel like we both went through emotional roller coaster. He got meneigitis in hospital, ended up having to get gtube to eat because he got sick and nurses I believe pushed to much on him food wise and he wouldn't go back up in amount so probably got nipplr aversion. He had hernia surgery before leaving also. It was tough but he is about to be 6 and doing well physically
