people that identify as white: do you feel upset or forgotten that you don’t have a month of celebration like -black history month -hispanic heritage month -Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

Or do you not really have feelings regarding this topic simply because it’s never been a hot press issue for you.

No.

Do the two other months exists? I have never heard of them that's all. I'm guessing that's in America. I am not bothered by it as it is simply to make more awareness about either what should not be forgotten or what needs to be currently taught.

Not at all, this is about celebrating cultures that were oppressed, there’s no reason for me to be celebrated the same because I by default have more privilege. It’s not right that I do because of my skin so obviously I do believe these types of people should be as celebrated/known as me.

it's literally white boy winter rn

not exactly related to the post but is there a difference between “white american” culture and “white” culture (other countries)? i feel like in america we learn so much about white people here and their culture but not enough about white people in other countries. they’re different right? please no hate, im genuinely asking because i’m curious. i don’t remember learning about other white cultures other than america when i was school age.

@destiny 🪷 WHITE BOY WINTER???….which white boys are they celebrating?

@Nina🤍 any white boy that makes you swoon 🤭

@destiny 🪷 This is a dangerous season, I’ve been seeing buff handsome white dudes😳😂 I just smile and wave cause it’s dangerous out here😂 I’ll leave all the dating to yall. I’ll admire from a very safe distance!

i give not 1 fuck 😂

I don’t give a shit lmao I don’t need to be celebrated for being a privileged blonde white girl

I think there’s definitely some positive heritage to be celebrated from various Caucasian backgrounds. But I think an entire month is over kill 🤷‍♀️ I don’t need the entire country to be like, “remember how great these guys are?” Just have pride in your background and celebrate as you please in your own way.

Upset if no month of celebration? Um.... Caucasian is the majority and has been for a while and has oppressed many minorities

Now celebrating heritage of where you are from is different. That should always be celebrated

No honestly I’m ashamed of being white and there’s good rationalizations for it🙃 whites are responsible for majority of slavery (yes other ethnicities had slavery but whites based slavery on race alone,) whites colonized people for “religion” by being hypocritical shits going against the same religion they supposedly fought for, whites will always get or have a leg up against anyone no matter gender, race, or religion, whites have the biggest issue with gender. Yes other ethnicities have gender issues but at minimum respect women as mothers, whites don’t even respect mothers. Whites commit major crimes and get slapped on the wrist in the US, anyone else of a different ethnicity would get a death penalty or life sentence for the same crime. A white man sells weed, gets community service. Anyone else of different ethnicity gets 5+ years in jail. A white man is convicted of 26+ crimes and counting, multiple bankruptcies, he’s president. Any other ethnicity would be in prison indefinitely.

I’m Hispanic and I honestly don’t really care for it at all I see it as a money grab. There’s a lot of cute items to buy, but it’s usually all Mexican themed and not all Hispanic cultures which sucks.

Lmao. Every day is a ‘celebration’ of white people 🙄 we don’t need shit.

Not one bit

No, I understand why your examples are necessary and why a month to celebrate being white isn’t.

I’m from Brazil (Latina/ not hispanic) and this is such a funny question to me. Americans talk too much about race 😅 the thought of someone being upset for not having a holiday about themselves literally makes me laugh. I don’t mean to offend is just funny 😆

What celebration? Isn't Christmas long enough worshipping Santa Claus, starts here in the month of October straight after Halloween 🎃 in the shops it's more commercial nowadays, it' should be who is more crazy to wind up broke and cashless in Jan....wait that's me... 😂

March is irish heritage month. There's German and Italian heritage month in October. Those are white celebration months, but not all lumped into one. It's a little more specific. But if we look at lumped ones...Then there's people who still celebrate Christopher Columbus, which is basically a colonizers celebration. There's Thanksgiving day, also a colonizer holiday. Maybe even 4th of July. These are holidays that were not meant for POC people and holidays that still, today, forgetting or ignoring the implications of these holidays 🤷🏾‍♀️ Then we can look at how we essentially "celebrate" whiteness in history books that are in the classrooms- erasing other peoples truths. Or celebrating literature that is considered classic but...are white authors. So many museums that showcase paintings and photographs by white people. Idk, feels like every day has been a celebration and an agenda of white power.
