Often toast or a crumpet with tinned fish or cream cheese or avocado. With fruit or cucumber/ tomatoes and cheese or yogurt if he didn't have at breakfast, or pastry pinwheels or leftover dinners. I don't tend to cook at lunchtime so keep it as simple as possible
@Flo that’s what I’m hoping to do is keep it as simple as possible! Thank you x
So, what’s been a hit Pinwheels Sweet potato tots Carrot fritters Bagel thin Pita and hummus Crumpet thin Egg muffins
We usually do a bit of a picky plate, toast/crumpet/wrap with something spread on, some cheese, yoghurt (the little yeos no added sugar are a big hit with baby girl!) some fruit and veg whether it be whole or some purée if we’re in a hurry that day and then maybe some veggie straw crisps etc x
Today my daughter had pasta blitzed with peas and spinach and a bit of dried basil (I usually make enough for two to tree days when I make something). Toast if its not been had for breakfast with yogurt. I do use a lot of pouches for lunch because I do tend to go out at lunch time. She has quiet a lot of vegetables mashed with potatoe mash as its the easiest thing to make.
Had cheese on toast for the first time today it went down very well 🤣
With my little one she’s a fruit baby. Raspberries is her absolute favourite, so she has them for lunch & then something more filling to go with it & then she has a little one of her biscuits too or a yogurt.
I normally offer carbs + protein. Bolognese pasta, bulgur with salmon and broccoli, fishcakes with some on the side (vegetables + quinoa, rainbow vegetable mix baked in oven), mac and cheese, steak with potato purée, cod boiled in vegetable stock + potato purée
