Could you do egg muffins with veg/cheese and prep in advance? Or oat bake slices. I used to give my daughter porridge as well, I'd make a batch and heat it as I needed it, would generally add some form of mashed/blended fruit too. You could even cook that into it when prepping it so it's just a matter of heating it up
@Louise She can’t have eggs. And she’s not a fan of oats. I’ve got them oat bars from the shop and she absolutely hates them😩
Oh I'm sorry baby brain can't read properly 🤦♀️ What about egg free pancakes? And/or different fruits? Dairy free yoghurt?
Pancakes, flapjacks, dairy free porridge, fruit medley with coconut yoghurt. 1tblsp flaxseed & same amount of water replaces egg in any recipe x
Have you tried coconut yogurt? It usually contains no dairy, but always check the ingredients. You can add some fruit puree. You can make banana pancakes by replacing the butter with sunflower oil or olive oil and using plant-based milk (I like Plenish; they don’t use preservatives). Waffles with crushed fruit are also a great option. You can fry tofu like scrambled eggs and add some herbs for flavor.
maybe smoothies?
We use a lot of filo pastry (which I think is dairy and egg free). We put fruit inside, or cheese, and spinach (I'm sure there's dairy free cheese you could use) they're so quick to just fry up 😊
Chopped up chunky bananas sliced and then topped with almond butter. Easy to pick up, and surprisingly likeable.
Porridge fingers, muffins and pancakes made with plant milk, make a big batch and keep in the freezer
Use gram/chickpea flour to make sweetcorn fritters, ‘omelettes’ or scramble (google has lots of recipes)
My baby liked pancakes or waffles dipped in his strawberry apple puree. I just make the pancakes and waffles in bulk and freeze them. Make ahead muffins or scones? Check out this lady it was recommended to another mom who has an egg free baby.
