@Lauren yes, 500. I was just so worried as it was pizza, so I only had 2 small ones and decided to wait an extra half hour before testing just to make sure x
Can i ask what you were worried about lovely?is it because you've just started them? Xx
@Lauren ive been taking them for a week now and its made me feel a little crappy, and so eating pizza I thought it would spike my sugars up like crazy! But I’m guessing it’s the metformin that’s helping keep them down xx
Yes so the first 3 weeks you'll have a reallt dodgy stomach potentially and feel sick, don't worry that's normal. After 4 weeks you won't even notice them. Make sure you're eating enough because it will lower your sugars a lot. I est as healthy as possible but once ate a whole pizza and was fine 😂x
@Lauren i actually threw up today after breakfast and on Friday, which im guessing was because of the metformin, and keep having really runny stools/gas. I just don’t know what to eat and feel so useless and because im not eating im worrying about baby 😔 x
Yes it gives the most dodgy tummy , it's normal and you must eat dry carbs to stop that. Only taking metformin with your largest meal of the day otherwise you'll feel so tired honestly. I've been on it 4 years and the first few weeks were wild but I promise it gets normal quickly and settles xx
@Lauren silly question, what’s dry carbs? Yeah, I’ve been told to take it with the last bite of my evening meal and yes I have been feeling absolutely drained. Hopefully I’ll stop taking it once baby is here! Xx
6.2 is great. Mwtformin massively lowers your blood sugar so you must eat protein as well as carbs, if I don't eat carbs Mine ends up way too low around 3 sometimes since being pregnant. What mg are you taking is it 500s? X
