Who else needs a break from their husband sometimes?
He cut his hand while trying to figure out what our 2yo needed and ended up with a tiny cut (like maybe 1/4 cm across, truly) MD hebsat with a paper towel on it for 30 minutes, claimed the bleeding didn't stop enough, got a bandaid, didn't mention it for awhile. Weekends are his bath nights so of course the band aid came off and he needed help to wash her because he didn't want blood in the water then he needed help getting her pull-up on (which is a pain because she wants to play and tries to crawl away) then she was (fake) crying because she didn't want her blankey and he wanted me to come get it (I said no and 2 minutes later she needed it). I just want weekends off from bedtime routine 😅

You always need time for yourself mama….my man gets time for himself because me and my lo go to bed earlier than him…I get time to myself when lo is at daycare and he is at work…so yea it’s balance
It’s not “away from my husband” per sé but I do like to go see a friend weekly, her house or dinner/drinks and some dancing. We both have a hobby day and a friend catch-up day per week each. He does bedtime routine every single Friday that’s my night out, I clock out at 5 to have a shower and get ready, or earlier if I need to do my nails first that’s every 3-4w that I do my nails but usually 5 I’m in the shower and he takes over from then, until I get home around or past midnight.

My husband is pretty good at giving me breaks every once in awhile when I need them. My son only wants me when I’m around, so my husband sends me to our bedroom. I guess technically I get a break from both of them 😂
