Anyone’s eyes go from brown to hazel or blue or green?

My girl’s eyes started brown and stayed brown the shade of brown may have changed a little. I read somewhere if their eyes start brown they’re probably not going to lighten as with time they produce more melanin not less so blue eyes can turn brown but brown eyes are unlikely to turn any other shade.
My oldest has brown eyes and always has, my youngest started with blue eyes and now they are green. I'm honestly not quite sure when it happened, just I noticed one day her eyes were green, she's only 3 it happened around 2 ish, both my girls are half Mexican so it's definitely genetically dependant.
