A temperature alone can be a sign of an infection. Good for you for trusting your instincts 🩷
I completely get this. You did the right thing don’t let him convince you otherwise. It’s always best to be safe then sorry! I’m sorry your having a disconnect with your husband. Becoming a mother definitely changes you. I’ve definitely changed myself anxiety is never ending and it makes me frustrated when my partner doesn’t help more. I hope things get better for your relationship!! You definitely did the right thing though! Good luck mama!
Trust your mummy instincts! I took my boy in as he was so poorly, they tried to tell me it was teething but I stood my ground and he was admitted for a week with sepsis. This could have been a very different story if I had just left it like they said.
@Jordon if you don’t mind me asking how did he get sepsis.
They weren’t entirely sure but most likely from a viral infection, kids crash really quickly! Just remember you know your child better than anyone else!
@Jordon they keep telling me it’s viral. Tested negative for Covid, rsv and the flu. 103 temp again and she just doesn’t want to eat. I was able to to get 6 ounces in her along with feeding her pedilyte through a syringe when I got home for work. 99 temp before bed. Hopefully tomorrow this passes. I am stressed.
Did they check her throat and ears? My little one is prone to ear and throat infections and gets a temperature like this and goes off her food almost everytime she has those
@Corinne I can’t remember if they checked her throat. They mentioned her right ear was red but no ear infection. Idk at this point.
Might be worth taking her to be checked again if the temperature continues, hope it passes for you soon.
Your feelings are valid, trust your mommy instincts. I hope she recovers soon! 🩷
