Decaf coffee and pregnant

Hey ladies! I’m a coffee lover and usually have a few cups a day! Dolce gusto style! I’ve just found out I’m expecting baby number 2 and am 7 weeks along. I’ve switched up to decaf and am having 2 decaf dolce gusto capsule coffees a day. I’m not sure why I feel guilty having them incase they have more caffeine in than I realise! Can someone put my mind at rest? Decaf pod coffee is perfectly safe right? Xx

Decaf has about 97% less caffeine than a normal coffee and you can have 1-2 normal coffees a day when pregnant…. So that’s a lot of decaf coffees you can safely have a day☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️

I'm a massive coffee drinker, and when I found out I was pregnant, switch to decaf and drunk that throughout my pregnancy at least 4 cups a day give or take. X

Thankyou girls for the reassurance! I was thinking gosh is decaf bad in other ways or is it better to just drink normal coffee but I just love the coffee taste! So if I can keep going on multiple decaf coffees a day then I’ll do it!

Also the pods you’re drinking only contain 8 grams of coffee compared to a normal barista shot of 18g and at home extraction (of caffeine) is much worse, so you’ll be fine having multiple a day 😊☕️

I drunk regular coffee throughout my pregnancy and baby girl is now 12 weeks old :) Iced caramel lattes were my pregnancy craving. Safe to say I collected my loyalty stamps at a lot of coffee shops 😅 x
