So far a little over 2.5 years and I’ll ideally be home forever 😂
I got hurt at work in 2012 and got laid off, didn't have my first until 2020 but my husband and I agreed to me always being a sahm. With my boys being autistic I am glad there is no ticking clock on my time at home
Almost 6 years. I did work at a Mother’s Day out for a year when my oldest and only at the time was 3 just to be out to socialize and have a little extra spending money. I don’t plan to go back even when my youngest is old enough to be in school.
9 months
I worked part-time as a nanny bringing my kids with me. That was from the time my first was 9 months until my 2nd was born. I took off 6 months after my 2nd was born & then continued working until they were 5 & 2. At that point covid hit & I became a full-time stay at homeschooling mama. We're moving this spring and I'll be taking on the job & responsibilities of raising livestock for our family’s meat, eggs, & eventually our dairy.
Planning on homeschooling! So at least 17 more years! 🤣
I've been home for almost a year. I don't really know.
Just had my first July 2024 at 30. Will be stay at home forever now. Planning to take the lead on homeschool and help run our business. While my husband takes the lead on the business and helps with some subjects. We plan to be out exploring and learning more than at "home"
Around 2 years is the plan
2 years well going on almost 3 years now. Didn’t plan too the economy has just been so hard to find a job worth paying for daycare. Once i find a job that the numbers make sense will not be a SAHM anymore. I still consider myself a Work from home SAHM cause I do freelance work here and there
I found one year was the sweet spot for me. By then I wanted to go back to work
I stayed home with him for the first year exactly
17yrs sahm so far.
15 years and still going for the time being, we will see what the future brings.

I have three…life is so busy. I will probably forever unless financially we can’t. The two kids in school, I do volunteer and keep up on their homework, bring them to sport stuff and do all the appointments, I also drop them off at school and pick up everyday because they go to a school out of our school district and I have my toddler. I can’t imagine doing all this while working
@Tessa going on 3 years for me now :)
@Kayla sounds good 🥰
@Sarah wow ! With me at this point I need to find a good ‘work from home’ job
@Randi 9 months and you went to work right after huh ??!
@Emily this is literally currently me. But instead I have two and this is why I made this post lol I’m thinking it’s time to do different because of finances
@Ella I had that moment after the first year with my second born but I wasn’t ready mentally or physically
@Vanessa I totally understand ! moving forward (for me) I need to figure out something better that brings a way better income and fits my kids schedule
@Karis I experienced homeschooling when it was ‘virtual learning’ during the pandemic and honestly homeschooling is always in the back of my mind
@C a year is definitely not bad ! Time will definitely tell
@Amanda that’s beautiful!!
@Dana Lew I did babysitting, then it just wasn’t fitting for me. Idk I have mixed feelings though lol
Forever ✨💪💃🙂
@Amanda we plan the same ✨🙂💃

@Tea If your dream is to stay at home, then imo you've got to build it together. That's what hubby and I are doing.
@Amanda what line of work are you doing?
@Tea you can do anything you set your mind to, get going 👏
@Steamtrane Family Thank You 💕
@Tea you're welcome
@Steamtrane Family My husband is a red seal glazier (windows, doors, showers. 17 years experience) and when we moved to Alberta 3 years ago we started a window washing business.
21 years. And then inflation. Or I would still be at home.
