Confused on adjusted net pay - can anyone help

Hello! Both myself and my husband earn less than the £100k threshold as base salaries so I was wondering if we qualified for free childcare hours after 9 months. However, my husband does earn commission which can vary and take him over the threshold. Does adjusted net pay include commission does anyone know? And how would you calculate this if some months he went over the limit and others didn't? I've been doing loads of research but confusing myself a lot! Any help would be great!

I was looking into this also. I believe it’s based on your annual income which includes bonuses and commission. So if you go over £100,000 gross income individually in a year then you don’t qualify. I’m pretty sure this is correct unless someone else has a different take

I should say this is taxable income so minus pension contributions taken from source.

Yesss I believe commission counts so you wouldn’t be eligible on the months he earns over £100k. I still don’t know exactly how it works (baby is only 2 weeks old, I just haven’t looked into it properly yet) but I think he’d need to fill in a form each month to state how much he’s earning…my partner’s basic salary is under £100k but he is on over £100k annually with commission, so same boat as you!

It goes by school terms and you have to be below 100k the term before you apply to qualify. (I hope that helps) If he’s just over, adding money to his pension to stay below will be beneficial.
