Spoon feeding

My baby will be 11 months in a few weeks. He’s generally a good eater and will try different things. He’s eating more textured things but he never has any interest in feeding himself. I’ve tried leaving food in front of him but he’ll just play with it and not even bring it near his mouth. I let him explore and play with the food but there hasn’t been one occasion where he’s even tried to taste the food himself. He’ll happily eat it when offered on a spoon or by hand. Anyone else’s LO’s do this/any tips?

Erm I’m not 100% sure do you eat with your little one at mealtimes? Xx

My little girl wont eat much if we leave it to her. She will move it around the tray and then throw it on the floor so we spoon feed 9 times out of 10. She will very rarely eat some of it but not very often but will eat everything if shes spoon fed

Can you preload spoons and give him the spoon as a stepping stone to eating by himself?
