Nope, NHS recommends 6 months :)

6 months for us

6 months for us

6months unless advised otherwise by a dietician (we’re awaiting referral for one of twins as he’s suspected CMPA with slow weight gain and has dropped a few centiles). There’s new links being made to weaning with an immature gut before 6 months and IBS later in labs so don’t plan on early weaning unless we absolutely have to

Not until 6 months, same as I did with my first son 😊

My first was 5 months but there was no filling him, he was ready. But this time I’m gonna wait as long as possible

I don’t know why everyone is in such a rush to do it, after my first I’m absolutely dreading it! It’s stressful, messy, never fits into the routine and not in anyway fun 😩

6 months or until all the right signs are there. Same as @April, not dreading it per se, but it’s a lot 😂

I’m not in any rush, but my baby doesn’t seem to be getting full off just breast milk alone, even after a feed. I am planning on breastfeeding until 6 months then I aim to wean fully. I have only used baby porridge or rice at the min mixed with breast milk so it’s a very small quantity x

@Romany this is a really common time for breastfed babies to seem hungry or fussy, look up the 4 month fussies. It's not a sign they're still hungry or your supply is dipping, it's just a developmental stage
