Eating books 🤓😂

So everyone tells you to read to your kids. My baby is 10 months old and I have started to sit him down after his evening nap and read to him. Simple colours and numbers and finding animals. It has been 2 weeks. The problem is-he only wants to eat the books! It is impossible to get through a 5-7 page book without him throwing a fit and trying to eat it. What should I do? Has anyone else faced this?

No solutions but my baby is also eating books.... I'll get distracted and he will have bit holes in the spine!

I usually will stand up so my baby can’t reach the books while we’re reading them

Mine still tries to bite the books but I started reading while she bites a teether that’s on a clip on, so it doesn’t fall. It hasn’t stopped her but reduced her time of trying to bite the book.

Check out the indestructible books for Babjes on Amazon. We have a few for our girl. Sometimes she’ll pay attention when I read and some days she wants the book so I’ll give her these books since there rip proof, water proof, and chew proof https://a.co/d/dzQYkys

They absorb the information faster when it’s consumed 😂

Give her one book and try to read a different one?

They go through an eating book phase. Eventually he’ll get into turning the pages and eat them less.

memorize the books, let them eat it 😅 at this age its more about looking at pictures and understanding what a book is

They do make books that are basically teethers, maybe give him a few of those? You can read from a different one out of reach. 🤷
