What’s in the pesto that she can’t eat? Parmasan or pine nuts?
Roasted carrots, onions, garlic then blend with cream fresh or cream to make it richer
Red peppers with stock :) x
@Johanna it's me that is instantly sick after having pesto I'm guessing it's the pine nut
@Kimberley this is a brilliant idea, would still be similar to Bolognese
@Kath you can get pesto that is nut free and also a vegan one without Parmasan. Only say that as they are main allergens! Good luck, hope you find some solutions
Cheesy white sauce I do it with broccoli and cauliflour and then freeze it for when I need it. You can do nut free pestos. Peppers can make a tasty sauce. I've also just made various purees and put it with pasta. Mine loves pureed peas with a little bit of either basil or mint with pasta. I've also done broccoli, pea and spinach blitzed and put on pasta. I'm yet to find something mine won't have with pasta
Roasted sweet potato or butternut squash blended with milk and seasoning
Ham and mushroom sauce. Garlic fried in oil, add Parma ham, throw in lots of chopped mushrooms, add a little stock, reduce it, add the pasta, turn down heat, add creme freche and parsley to garnish :)
I roast peppers garlic and onions with olive oil and then puree it to make pasta sauce.
Avocado makes a nice sauce all mashed up with seasonings and some nice cheese like feta or soft cheese
Courgette and peppers blitzed with some garlic is delicious with pasta
Chicken musrooms and sour cream
You can honestly boil or roast any veggies and blend them into a sauce. The closest to a bolognese would be a carrot and pepper mix.
