I want to know what you guys do with this issuse. So I also posted about this esle where but I want to know what other (possible the same if here) about this
My Manger messaged me last Tuesday asking me where me and my fiance was eating at since he saw me post on snap, I told him the places name and told him I return the 18th and needing Fridays and Saturdays off and he said he'll talk to the other lady off thous days ...... I find out talking to hr to get them off since I never heard back from him about it so I talk to hr she said I can get them off , that she just hired 2 new people so I can get them off , my coworker messaged me asking since I haven't talked to him in a while 🤷♀️ it is what it is and I told him and updated him on what's going on when he messaged at 12:30 am (we work nights so it not odd) got told Manger is being so much more cocky since he became the Manger from assistant Manger (Long story on why his cocky and I don't have the time here to write it if you want to know post in comments and I will when I get a chance ) Manger currently on a power trip and firing alot of the people who been there 10+ years and I got told by an other coworker who I'm close friends with and other stuff , and my coworker told me Manger is trying to prevent me getting them off since Manger wants to look better I'll post screenshots of the chat with names removed that my coworker and I texted about.
TLDR
Manger trying to prevent me getting Fridays and Saturdays off due to it makes him look better , when he knows I can't get child care at 5am till 730 am and got told Manger being so much more cocky since he got the position..... and was told that I would need them off since before I had my son
I haven't asked this but I'm tempted to ask if I can't have thous days off if I can bring my 3MONTH OLD SON WHO CANT BE ALONE to work when I get off lunch 😒 so i don't need to find child care at 5 am
Who gets to decide? Like if he approves or declines requests for work hours, leave, etc then he can decide what he likes. However if it's NOT his decision and HR makes those decisions, go through whatever the formal process is with HR and get it locked in
