Meals

My bubba is almost 11 months old. She’s on Nutramigen 2. She doesn’t accept any food unless it’s a fruit pouch. I’ve tried weetabix (refused then mixed with fruit pouch still refuses), I’ve blended porridge with soya milk still refuses then gave it with fruit pouch no result. Tried fish fingers still nothing. I’m concerned as her formula milk is for a varied diet and her stage 1 is only for up until 6 months. Any recommendations? 5 teeth and eating nothing!

Ask to go back on step 1 in all honestly and then just keep trying with food some babies take to weaning much much slower. Stage 1 milk is absolutely fine across all types of milk to use until 12 months or older in age

My bubs did this, try buying the Ella’s kitchen/heinz/Hipps meals. My bubs will demolish them but not touch our food x

I've noticed this tends to be happening with parents who gave their babies purees for too long, or delayed weaning for whatever reason (beyond 6 months). I'd personally speak to a HV or dietician

Is she interested in finger foods? My son is toothless but loves breadsticks and crackers

@YazmynJade I went on their website before and it said Stage 1 is only suitable up until 6 months? Which made sense to me as she was devouring 9oz easily where as now it satisfies her so I dunno 😩

@Morgan Do you suggest any in particular? I’ve tried given her the roast dinner one but won’t accept it and unsure of which others to try

@Rebecca Yeah you’re right, I was advised just to stick to the formula and I regret doing so!! I did go against it and tried to feed soups between 4-6 months but as she didn’t take to it I thought maybe best to follow docs advice 😕

@Lisa I tried giving her the melt sticks, she’ll just squash it with her hand, she’ll only eat it (few bites) if you actually feed it to her yourself. She’s the same with Farley’s Rusk 😩

@Adriana Sorry sweet, I’ve been poorly and just seen this. I’d try on the 10 month one in the pouch if you’re still having these issues. Spag bol and tomato pasta seems to be a hit across the board. Just keep trying solids little and often and don’t stress. It’ll all fall into place one day x
