I used this website to look for daycares https://haltonchildcare.cioc.ca I don’t have much advice but to add to as many waitlists as you can. And check back with some places that have closed their list. I added ours to a bunch while pregnant (gave birth in August). One place opened their lists in January and we got a spot at one of their locations for this coming September.
