@Sorrel she will be turning two! :) Should I write happy birthday Sophie and uncle? Aw that’s cute
i would get two cakes!
🎉Happy Birthday Sophie and Uncle Luke!🎉
If it’s a joint celebration I’d just write his name rather than uncle, as he’s only uncle to her. However if you’re having a party just for your daughter I’d just get her her own cake. If it’s a gathering for her but just a low key family thIng, I’d get them each a cake. (Or Sophie and uncle Luke would work in this scenario too!)
I would just put happy birthday, but if you really want to put names just use first names not uncle.
How old is your BIL? Is he young?
You could write something funny like: Sophie is 2 sweet/cute and Uncle Luke is 2 old or not 2 old/ 2 funny/ 2 wild or whatever. One can be written vertically and the other horizontally and use the same 2 for both.
I think that's sweet. I'd be inclined to get 2 small cakes, though. My brother and I shared parties growing up, having birthdays 10 days apart, and even last year, we had a joint family celebration and got 2 small individual cakes. My son was born the day after my sister. If we did a shared celebration, it would just be a "happy birthday" banner stuck in the cake (ice cream cake) or 2 individual cakes. My mum and Nana were also a day apart, and we often had a shared cake, no writing, and would sing them both happy birthday. Occasionally, they'd have individual cakes. If your BIL is on your side, could you ask your sibling? If he is on your partners side, could you ask your partner or your BIL's partner?
I would get two cakes. Mine are all about the cake and choosing it. My daughter would be really upset to share her cake. Bit different two adults.
I think since shes only 2 it’s ok to do same cake, bc this will probably be the last year until she will probably want her own cake/can read. I’d just put “Happy Birthday ____ & _____!” (unsure of their names, but just fill in their names there)
@M 🍃🌷🐈⬛ omg this is a great idea!! He is turning 31. Our theme for my daughter is 2 sweet, so think it would match 😅
I would buy two cakes but it’s kinda very expensive 😅 shall I just get the cake as a gift rather than buying him a physical gift? As didn’t have many plans of a gift anyway
Incognito, it depends where you get the cake from? For my last birthday, the cakes came from the supermarket.
Also, is this BIL on your side or your partners? Does your partner have input?

We just get supermarket cakes. You can get your own icing to write stuff on it. It will still be really special but I'd get two different types of cakes ! One sponge one choc/rainbow? M and s do nice cakes. I get my daughters from there. You can jazz it up by adding numbers/little banners etc
yeah if it’s not in your budget for your BIL i think the cake as a gift will be enough.. im hoping he will understand, he’s a grown man haha.
Is your daughter still a baby? I think just a simple - Happy birthday Sophie and Luke! Is fine. As an adult I had a shared birthday dinner with my grandad before and we had candle numbers for our combined age lol
