Will Labrador lying on my tummy hurt baby?

Hi all, I have a 5 year old yellow lab who just absolutely loves cuddles. He will regularly flop himself down in my lap/on my tummy when I'm lying down. He's a very big, heavy boy so I'm wondering will this hurt baby at all, or is it just going to get uncomfy for me the bigger I get? For reference I'm currently 18w with a small bump.

Your baby is very well protected, my lab did the same and as my bump got bigger he adapted to it and laid next to me. My baby would kick him from inside my tummy which I thought was cute!

@Bethany thank you so much!! Feeling a bit silly for not just googling this myself now haha! We are practicing "careful!" and making sure that he's not jumping/standing on my tummy at all so I'm hoping it'll be okay! He does tend to flump himself down with some force at times so that's more my worry than him just resting on me xx

@Hannah Awww that is adorable! Little besties before they were even bornđŸ„čxx

@Keira lol, it's okay, pregnancy brain causes great brain fog. I had to ask advice about what was safe to do with my cats when I was pregnant, I never thought about googling either 😅

Not at all, your baby’s surrounded by enough fluids and cushioning it would take a lot to harm the baby. My rottie would always lie on my belly he enjoyed feeling the kicking xx
