What would you do
So me and partner wanna move in together but in order to do so his mum and family want me to sign a prenup and not be put on the deed of the house, therefore I feel as if I shouldn’t buy anything towards the place apart from food, as if it was the other way round I would be asking him to sign one

I wouldn’t do it but if u do then ya only buy food since it’s not “your” house. I had an ex n we bought a house together well technically he bought it and only put his name on the deed. I didn’t even buy food cuz it wasn’t mine

@Esmeralda and he has admitted to me that him or his family don’t trust me because of past issues we had which had upset me although he did say that he is slowly starting to trust me again and not really I wouldn’t just be buying something in the house if we needed it and food
Sounds like a lack of trust and a whole lot of control issues on their part and if your partner isn’t willing to set boundaries placing you first then it’s going to be an ongoing issue of no respect with his family. A prenup I feel is fine but the name on the deed for a life you’re building together for me personally is non negotiable either WE make this move or we don’t at all. Are you contributing towards the home financially?
