Following. My 6m had Greek yogurt yesterday and I was happy it had protein. We haven’t done meat yet and honestly how do you without any teeth? lol
@Alana their gums are strong enough to chew through meat my son does it all the time
@Elizabeth Aneiros I don’t doubt that they are hard enough. I just don’t think my guy can do it yet. Just started solids last week. Still getting the hang of it.
@Alana ah fair enough, it took me a couple of weeks before I attempted to give him strips of meat he hasn't got a full hang of it yet but he's getting their. But you can shred it to have like a pulp consistency and feed it to them that way
@Elizabeth Aneiros oooo thanks!
@Alana you're welcome 🤗
Chickpeas or hummus, Greek yoghurt, nut butters (if allergy tested), fish (salmon/tuna or fish fingers), scrambled eggs ect x
Nut butters, eggs, also with meat would shred it, chop it and blend it after it’s been cooked and mix it with something like rice or mashed potatoes.
I’m
My son doesn't love meat/fish or eggs but is obsessed with Greek yogurt and nut butters so we do lots of that. I know you're trying to move away from purees but could be a way to bridge? E.g., I discovered today that I could get my son to eat mackerel if I mixed smaller pieces in with his blackberry Greek yogurt 😂
Try lamb meatballs (there is a good recipe on Solid starts). Lamb meat is very soft and juicy so it’s easier to swallow than other meats. My girl loves it and you can always top it up with Greek yogurt to make it more manageable for her 😊
Thank you all so much for these amazing ideas!! I’m definitely going to be trying more of them soon!
Chickpeas, lentils things like that are a good source of protein. Anything you eat just shred it up a little ☺️
