after taking some of your advice on here I’ve began doing some 20 minute workouts on YouTube. I’m struggling with 2 things now.

Firstly physically I’m not fit like I used to be. Since having a baby I’m a lot weaker as I haven’t moved in that way in a long time (20 months pp) feel like I’ll never be able to properly exercise again.. Secondly mentally I feel like a fat slob while I’m doing these lol, where you don’t see improvement in your body for a while it’s not very motivating 😫😫 Anyone have any tips advice or kind words to keep me going x

Well done you on taking the steps to do the 20 minute workouts. It can take some time to see a difference in your body and how you feel overall but being consistent and giving yourself credit for what you have done and do on a day to day basis (no matter how small) as it will keep you motivated to continue and time for results to show. Try turn everything into a positive where you can and keep showing up. You've got this!!

Showing up and doing it is the most important thing! When I first started working out I was using 2lb dumbbells and really struggling to get through the whole thing. That was 5 years ago. I just bought 12.5kg dumbbells. 💪 it’s a marathon not a sprint and consistency is the most important thing. Take photos of yourself because not all victories are about dropping lbs and you’ll see a change in your body composition quicker than you think. Well done for getting started!! X

Well done for getting started, that’s wonderful. First off, please don’t be so hard on yourself. You’re doing an amazing job and your body has been through a lot over the last couple for years. As other people have said, it’s all about showing up. Your fitness will improve over time and 20 minutes every day or so will make a huge difference compounded in the long run. One thing I find helps motivate me after periods of inactivity is to log my progress. I tend to do strength training and running so I like to use apps like Strava and Strong to log my work outs. This helps me focus on the consistency more than anything else. I also find it helpful to take progress photos but only every couple of months, and avoid the scales if I’m feeling insecure. Keep it up, you got this 💪.

thank you amazing women❤️❤️❤️
