Food recipes

hello all, just wanted to know what everyone is feeding their 7 month old 😁 He is my second born and he’s a foodie unlike my first one so I’m very excited to try new recipes . Can you please all share what everyone is giving their young ones and how much are they eating in a day.

Orzo pasta with a veggie sauce, chicken and mash, lentil dahl, 'fish pie' with tuna and sweet potatoes. I batch up a few mashes and sauces into the freezer so can just add some protein to. She's on lunch daily and we've started adding breakfast a few days a week, so far weetsbix and porridge as haven't done egg allergy test.

My LO just eats whatever I'm eating. Today for breakfast we had a banana and weetabix, lunch was egg on toast, and dinner was beef stew, which he loved. I try and change it up, so he's getting lots of new textures and flavours every day. He either has it as finger foods or I cut his up into bitesize pieces. He eats as much or little as he wants to. If he eats all his and I've none left to give him extra he has a wafer or melty muff whilst I clean up

@Lucy this is really good. I've been trying to do this for my little girl but I'm never sure on how to serve her the dinners as I'm scared of choking so I keep blending 🫠🫠🫠

My boy has been a really big foodie too unlike my first, however he basically refuses to eat most of the baby stuff. He’ll eat the pouches of fruit, and heniz chocolate biscotti but everything else has to be what the rest of us eating or something else that we’d eat. He absolutely loves rice (hated baby rice) and penne pasta, toast, grated cheese, cucumber, satsumas(without the segment skin) even quesadillas and carbonara. He literally wants to try everything. I do cut a lot of the the stuff down, it’s mainly just the pasta I keep whole and some roasted veggie sticks. Sometimes he does choke on the food, and immediately spits it back out realises his limits and slows down. It’s just a part of the learning.

@Jess I do finger foods - size of 2 of my fingers together or bitesize - roughly finger nail size (smaller than throat). He gags occasionally especially with a new texture or flavour but no choking yet
