I was recommended to use social services by my council's therapy scheme. They assured me that there are two branches of social services - the one where they come to help you with the baby at home like at night so you can get some sleep - and the ones where it's welfare checks. They assured me they are two separate departments and that asking for help wouldn't reflect badly on me as a mother. In the end due to a major f up, the referral to social services never actually went through and by the time it was raised to me thankfully my baby was sleeping better so I said I didn't need it anymore (6+ months later!!!) So I can't help exactly as I never used them in the end, but I wish they could have, honestly if they are offering the help I would take it
Most health visitor services also have support workers. My local one I see support workers much more than a health visitor even for some development reviews. I wouldn’t worry at all if anything they’ll be impressed you’ve asked for help!
I know some people are against it my girl was/ is still like this I started co sleeping at first she has a dummy then around 2-4am I dream feed her it’s taken time but she’s finally getting better at sleeping at night x
