Cluster feeding

Hey guys just looking for some confirmation, I think I’m eating more than I usually do but my little one also seems to be feeding a lot more than usual , she usually goes at the least 2 hrs between feeds, but today she’s fed 4 times in 2.5 hrs and idk why could it be the age she’s at (13weeks) or is it just a change in pattern Thanks for any advice - FTM trying her best 😂

Completely normal! You're doing great! Just follow her lead and trust your baby! My daughter would have some days or weeks where there was no filling her and we just went with it. She still has those days sometimes now and she's 15 months.

@Emma-Louise thankgod ! I’m the only person in my family who’s even attempted breastfeeding so I feel like I’m swimming in uncharted waters ! Xx

Perfectly normal and don’t even worry about your eating habits it’s all about surviving in the early stages and if that means eating more go for it. When my LG was a newborn I was eating during the night feeds constantly hungry before bed my boyfriend would have to go to the shop so that I had snacks to last me the night😂once they settle in to more of a routine and aren’t cluster feeding you’ll feel less hungry

@Aaliyah honestly my mums on a diet and I’ve been weighing ( not trying to lose but just keeping track of where I’m at ) and she’s fuming cos I keep losing when my “diet” is just whatever’s in front of me when I decide I’m hungry 🤦‍♀️😂 xx

My LG seemed to cluster feed constantly for the first 12 weeks and then 2h for the next 2 months even now at almost 8 months she still wants 3h feeds. Shes slowly climbed from 15th to 25th centile whilst I’m 3kg lighter than pre-pregnancy despite eating well. Every time she had a growth spurt I was ravenously hungry and took it as a sign to fuel up.
