I had hyperemesis all 3 pregnancies. I finally figured out the right meds to keep food down by baby number 3...but i still ended up severely dehydrated. I really struggled with it. I ended up having diarrhea, low blood pressure and then went unconscious. Thankfully my husband has medical training and knew how to help me. Then my limbs went into paralysis. It was a pretty freaky experience. So I drank everything I could after that...everything with ice helped...sweet tea...I was borderline gestational diabetes but I had to drink something & I couldn't keep water in. Then towards the end of my pregnancy I had gall stone & didn't know it. I had awful attacks after eating processed foods...called them gas attacks because I had no idea what was even going on. The baby was doing fantastic all along. God gave me a wonderful home water birth, he was born less than 1.5 hours at 41 weeks. While I did tear (10.2lbs) I was completely healed in 3 weeks! But then came week 4...the gall stones had upset my pancreas...
I had severe pancreas issues. I was hospitalized 2 weeks. Than recovering at home about 6 weeks, than another, nearly,, week to remove my gall bladder. Than another surgery to drain some cysts around my pancreas. Throw in a move and post partum depression...all at the same time...And bada-bing bada-boom...I survived having 3 kids at 38. And let me tell you, God's hand was ALL OVER IT. Nearly 3 years later...and I consider it all blessed.
With all that said...Congrats on your miracle! Drink plenty of fluids and stay away from processed food 😬
Wow what an amazing yet terrifying experience but Gods hands was on both of you ladies. It really gives me hope. Thank you so much for sharing
