Chinese here. We have 30-40 days of postpartum confinement practice which is basically focus on resting and nourishment of the mom. Usually there’s someone in the family to help with cooking/chores during this time but not always. Special diet, many rules, we do 2-5 you listed here as well, in addition to many other rules. Different foods are planned for different stages of healing too. I can’t detailed everything but I was given like a 10 page notes on it. Lots of ginger, minimize washing of body and hair, minimize being cold (wear clothes and socks), refrain from certain foods that might affect milk supply (also encourage certain foods that’s helps it). Lots of protein from poultry/pork. Yes we drink red date tea too.
@Winnie possible to share the list of food we need to avoid for milk supply? And which ones encourage the supply
Hey! In Colombia we do 40 days quarantine and we make a lactation drink with “panela” you can find it in most latin stores, a whole far of water, and milk. You want to boil the panela in the water and once it’s boiling and the panela is melted put it in a cup and put milk in it
