Strangers touching toddler

I can't seem to get over being upset when strangers touch my 18 m.o. and I'm not talking about random grannies overstepping. I'm talking about service people I.e check out staff and wait staff. I'm all for them interacting but I find it highly inappropriate for them to tickle or kiss her and it sets off a fight or flight in my brain. This checkout lady a month ago always interacted with her to the point of stopping what she was doing to talk to my then baby everyrime I went through the checkout the entire time and not leaving Geraldine even when it was clear she wasn't enjoying it which I didn't overly like but then once she just ran over and started tickling her all over repeatedly when I was trying to do the shopping through the self serve aisle, not even acknowledging me. And out to dinner tonight the waitress kissed my daughter all over the hands as we left. I wanted to pull her up on it. Is it appropriate for service staff to do these things to toddlers? I am sick of people overstepping and I know my husband will never support me in this i just need some kindness in a world of people who just push and think that setting boundaries is stupid or selfish etc.

I be so mad. Like, i still can't believe this lady kissed my son cheek???? I almost slapped her fr. I was so mad because why the actual heck... it's been over a month, and I'm still upset

Like, I get it. Babies make ppl happy, but wtf... so weird to me. I know how you feel and I'm sorry ppl are idiots

Thank God you guys agree! It makes my blood boil!

Your feelings are valid! This is my biggest pet peeve when going out in public. So inappropriate and deserves a slap on the hand 😤

Yes, im glad you said it because I mentioned it to my friend, and she said I'm overreacting bc I'm a ftm. Touching a babies hands should be off-limits bc most kids have their hands in their mouth or eat with their hands.
