First Trimester

Twin pregnancy, 2 placentas growing. Extremely nauseous for weeks, had to visit ER for an IV with nausea medication. Can’t go 6 hours without Zofran. Anyone else having/had similar experience? Any hope it will get better?

Yeah, I had bad nausea until around 20 weeks. I managed to keep Gatorade mostly down so I wouldn't get dehydrated and was able to eat things I was craving. I lost like 10lbs in the first 20 weeks, passed out at 14 weeks. My first pregnancy was the same way with nausea though and he isn't a twin, I lost 20 lbs in the first 20 weeks with him. It does get better, my nausea is almost gone now, I still can't eat chicken or rice without throwing up though 🤦🏻‍♀️

Yes, I had bad nausea until about 16 weeks, I took prochlorperazine which helped lots

I was the same .. you just have to go into survival mode to get through it… around 16/ 17 weeks mine eased off. Stay strong 💪

I had HG in my previous pregnancies (singletons) and it came back with a vengeance with my current pregnancy (twins). I’ve been hospitalised several times for dehydration and genuinely considered termination I was so unwell and desperate. I’m now on odansetron (zofran), procloperazine and xonvea, as well as steroids. The steroids were an absolute game changer. I now feel like an actual normal human being. The nausea is still there but so muted and I can cope! they’re keeping me on the steroids until the end of the first trimester and then will try to wean me off them but the sickness continued through my other two pregnancies so I’m not holding out much hope!! I hope it gets better for you soon - there are other medications than can be added in to your regime as well as zofran so I’d definitely give them a try xx

Yes ♥️ praying for you still there at 15 weeks although it has eased up a little
