Personally I'd consider changing vets. It's like if you went to your GP with a broken wrist but they told you it was sprained but you knew it was broken. You wouldn't take the treatment for a sprain, you'd seek someone else to give you the treatment you know you need. Granted its a dramatic example but you get what I mean, right? You can put in a complaint but I would start considering a different vet
@Hayley she said she didn’t feel it was an ulcer (she had to ask her colleague for advice as she wasn’t sure) and told us to make an appointment to see their specialist ophthalmology vet (who we’ve seen many times and last gave us treatment in December and told me that the arrival of a baby is likely to cause an outbreak causing ulcers) we said this is what’s happened before and it turned out to be an ulcer that was difficult to treat as it was mistreated for so long!
@Ebony the only reason we don’t is because their specialist ophthalmologist vet (despite being the most expensive person to see) has always been amazing with our cat. Annoyingly she is on leave this week.
Yes, definitely complain and stand your ground next time
What was the reason why he refused? The vet should see on the system what treatment your cat has had before. Also the vet should be taking what you have said seriously.. I’d definitely make a complaint.
