My daughter use to get called a boy no matter what I dressed her in. I never wanted to put her in traditional pinks and frills but people annoyed me so much that I started doing it and PEOPLE STILL DONE IT 🤣🤣🤣 she just looked like a little boy until her hair grew. (This was 8 years ago and I was only 19/20, now I would not care in the slightest) My little boy I have never had anyone say he looks like a girl but he also has no hair even now!! (bald baby crew 🤣)
My boy too!!! 🤦♀️
I think it might work both ways, my LO has had on pink with a bow in her hair before and someone asked how old HE was 😂😂😂
Happened aaaaall the time with my eldest- but I think his lovely full head of hair was what threw most people off. It didn’t seem to matter what he wore. Nice hair= must be a girl.
@Hollie lol!
My son is now 6years but he always got confused for a little girl It doesn't help his got beautiful big eyes with long eyelashes I always just corrected with oh yes he is isn't he But then my girl can be in her oink pram and older people will say he or ask girl or boy when she's wearing a pretty dress everything also with big eyes and long eyelashes 🤦🏻♀️
I have a daughter and the opposite problem. In the summer she was dressed in floral flowy jumpsuits and rompers and got mistaken for a boy all the time! I mean, it is 2025, but still 😄 it used to bother me, but now when I look back at some old photos, she did in fact look a bit like a boy 😂
@Nina it’s funny isn’t it! I think It’s just on the days I feel like it’s so obvious and then someone calls him princess 😂🤪 I can’t see it but I guess we see them so often!
If their hair is slightly long or they were neutral colours it can happen.
@Olivia yep! Just found it interesting as his hair isn’t long and he doesn’t wear neutral colours.
I dress my son in neutral clothes (brown, beige, white, etc) and sometimes blue, and even when, he is alwayssss misgendered 🤦🏻♀️ happens all the time lol
