cough

my baby is almost 7 months old and she has had a cough ever since she was around 3 months old. it started as just a cough then about a month ago she caught rsv and had a really bad case of it and had to stay on oxygen.. the cough STILL lingers and ik after rsv a cough can last awhile but she’s had it for soooo long even before she had rsv. i’m sooo confused and worried for my baby and just want it to go away. sometimes the cough is so bad she coughs until she vomits. i’m not sure there is anything i can even do at this point about it..

Random but sometimes reflux causes a cough. Especially if she’s coughing to the point of vomiting. What do the docs say? I can’t believe they aren’t more concerned :(

Literally the EXACT same issue with my daughter. Except she didn’t get RSV. She had the flu in January and COVID in November. But she had the cough wayyy before she was positive for COVID. Around 3 months as well. I have a new doctor for her so will be addressing this concern

@Kerri they listen to her lungs and say since they sound clear she’s fine. i also forgot to mention that it’s almost a gag cough. like coughs and gags and vomits. idk it’s just a scary thing i just want her to be better

My baby also has this same cough since 5 months he’s 7 months and today he had a fever for the first time smh I’m so scared cause what’s wrong taking him in Monday or er tomorrow if he isn’t feeling better

Sounds like reflux? I’m sorry. I know it’s not comforting right now but babies grow out of a lot of things 💖

My baby was dealing with the same thing.. she’s still congested and it’s been like 4 months.. a humidifier really helped her and I started giving her vitamin C to boost her immune system and that alone helped tremendously. The doctors are no help so natural remedies have been my go too.

Has she been tested for allergies?
