@Hayley Oh bless you, yeah I’m totally with you on that one! Thank you x
We usually do a BBQ or something easy at ours so it’s relaxed and you can just invite the closest people 🥰 But it’s your birthday! Don’t let anyone make you do anything you don’t want to
I stayed in a castle in Scotland for the weekend, went for a date night just me and hubby on my birthday and had a really small family meal with my parents and my sister's family. It was perfect! Others still dropped in to visit and bring gifts so it was like nearly 2 weeks of little celebrations 😊
Also 30 in April and I just want something with those closest to me but nothing wild. I’m thinking of having a getaway in an Airbnb maybe with a hot tub and takeaway and then a meal with my immediate family separately.
Honestly I’d just do whatever you’d like, don’t let any one else influence it. I’m the same and just love spending occasions now with my children as that’s what makes it feel special. I turned 30 last month 4 days after my twin boys were born in January. They were in NICU and I was recovering from the c section. So far from an ideal birthday but on the grand scheme of things it really didn’t matter! X
